The Auspicious Resonance of Ashtalakshmi

Immerse your sacred space in the divine vibrations of this exquisitely crafted brass bell, a testament to Indian artistry and devotion. Measuring an impressive 29 inches, this bell is not merely an object of beauty but a conduit for spiritual harmony. The rich, golden hue of the brass, a metal traditionally associated with purity and prosperity, emanates a warmth that complements any devotional setting.

Echoes of Divinity: The Ashtalakshmi Pantheon

The bell's body is a canvas for the worship of Ashtalakshmi, the eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi, the divine bestower of wealth, fortune, and well-being. Each panel depicts one of these powerful goddesses, meticulously sculpted in their characteristic poses, seated on lotus flowers, symbolizing purity and spiritual enlightenment. From Adi Lakshmi, representing primal energy, to Vidya Lakshmi, the goddess of knowledge, and Dhana Lakshmi, the provider of material wealth, their presence graces this artifact, inviting their blessings into your home. The intricate carvings extend to the upper register, where a procession of elephants, symbols of strength, royalty, and prosperity in Indian culture, encircles the bell's crown. These majestic creatures evoke the grandeur of ancient royal processions and the auspicious arrival of divine grace. ––––––––––––––––––––

A Symphony of Craftsmanship and Tradition

The bell's form is a masterpiece of traditional metalwork. The dome-like structure, a classic bell shape, is adorned with finely etched patterns, creating a textured surface that catches the light. The clapper, attached by a sturdy chain also cast in brass and featuring decorative elements, is designed to produce a melodious and resonant sound. The entire piece showcases the skill and dedication of artisans who have honed their craft over generations. The base of the bell is further enhanced with a border of lotus petals, a recurring motif that signifies spiritual awakening and divine beauty. The attached chain, complete with a decorative end piece, allows for easy suspension, ready to announce the commencement of prayers, aartis, or simply to imbue your surroundings with a sense of sacredness. This bell is more than a ritual implement; it is a piece of art that carries the weight of tradition and the promise of prosperity.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
