Without Base

Devi Rukmini- Lakshmi incarnate on earth, is the Shakti of Sri Krishna, embodying the glorious beauty of Sridevi, the goddess of wealth and fortune in this 3 feet large granite statue.

The rectangular base of the sculpture is designed like a bloomed lotus, the abode of Lakshmi, providing an elevated platform for the statue of Rukmini.

Devi Rukmini is adorned with a Vaishnava elongated crown, circular earrings, necklace, bangles, rings, and a delicate saree whose folds are delineated through fine etchings and lines.

A waist ornament and tasseled waistcloth hold the attire of the goddess, their soft knots and texture of the cloth perfectly rendered in the hard stone.

The pose in which Devi Rukmini stands in tribhanga is associated with goddesses such as Parvati and Lakshmi as a symbol of femininity. The lotus bud in her hand is a motif of purity, and divinity as well as the symbol for the beginning of creation which is empowered by the blessings of Rukmini, who is the supreme mother, accompanying Vishnu (as Krishna), in preserving and nourishing the Universe.
