39'' Large Eight Hands Dancing Ganesha | Madhuchista Vidhana (Lost-Wax) | Panchaloha Bronze from Swamimalai

“Victory to Ganesha, who, when dancing makes a shower of stars [just as an elephant playfully sprays water], resembling a rain of flowers, fall from the sky by a blow of his trunk” writes Somadeva Bhatta, an 11th century Shaivite author from Kashmir in veneration of the Nritya Ganapati. Dancing out of joy, this piece has seized Lord Ganesha in the moment of him raising a leg - dancing on the double layered blooming Padma, he’s shown along his Ganas, whom he leads. One of them plays the drum, and another a trumpet, making the echoes of ecstasy heard to its pinnacle.

The Divine Dance of Ganesha

Immerse your sacred space in the vibrant energy of the cosmos with this magnificent Panchaloha bronze statue depicting Lord Ganesha in his ecstatic dancing form. Standing tall and commanding, this exquisite piece captures the divine joy and boundless power of the remover of obstacles. The eight hands of Ganesha, each adorned with symbolic objects, are dynamically posed, conveying a sense of movement and celestial celebration. From the upper hands holding divine weapons and a discus, to the lower hands that offer blessings and caress his vahana, the mouse, every detail speaks of his multifaceted divine nature. This statue is not merely an artistic representation, but a conduit for spiritual awakening, inviting prosperity, wisdom, and good fortune into your home.

A Tapestry of Myth and Meaning

The form of Ganesha dancing, known as Nritya Ganapati, is a powerful depiction found in ancient texts and art. It symbolizes the cosmic dance that orchestrates the universe, a reminder that creation, preservation, and destruction are all part of a divine rhythm. The eight arms represent his dominion over the eight directions, signifying his omnipresence and ability to overcome any challenge from any quarter. The Panchaloha composition, a sacred alloy of five metals—gold, silver, copper, zinc, and iron—is believed to possess potent spiritual properties, enhancing the resonance of the divine energy invoked by the deity. This ancient technique, passed down through generations of master artisans, imbues the statue with a unique aura and timeless beauty, making it a truly heirloom-quality artifact.

The Orchestrators of Joy

Flanking the grand figure of Ganesha are two smaller attendant figures, each contributing to the celebratory atmosphere. On the left, a figure beats a drum, its rhythmic pulse setting the tempo for the divine dance. On the right, another figure plays a wind instrument, its melodic notes weaving through the air. These musicians evoke the joyous gatherings that often accompany auspicious occasions in Indian culture, where music and dance are integral to expressing devotion and revelry. Their presence enhances the narrative of the sculpture, transforming it into a scene of vibrant celebration and divine play, a testament to the joyous nature of the divine.

An Embodiment of Auspiciousness

This substantial bronze statue is more than a decorative item; it is a profound statement of faith and an invitation to embrace the positive forces in life. Ganesha, revered as the god of beginnings and the patron of arts and sciences, is invoked before any new venture to ensure its success. His gentle yet powerful presence is believed to clear away all impediments, whether they be worldly obstacles or inner doubts. The sheer scale and intricate craftsmanship of this piece ensure that it will be a focal point in any room, radiating an aura of peace, prosperity, and divine grace. It is a perfect acquisition for those seeking to deepen their spiritual connection or to bring a touch of ancient Indian artistry and profound symbolism into their lives.
