5ft Chaturbhuja Ganesha Stone Statue in Blessing Mudra | Granite Sculpture

$40,825

Only 1 available

This majestic 5-foot large granite statue of Ganesha reminds one of the legends of the demon who tormented the three realms in the form of a Mushaka (rat) and was finally quelled by Ganapati, who made him his mount.

Tucked under the large foot of the Lord, the Mushaka symbolizes unbounded potential running aimlessly, which is regulated and guided through wisdom and benevolence by Ganesha.

Ganesha assumes the pose of a heavenly king, his plump and poised body beautifully sculpted and polished. He is adorned with the Karandamukuta (inverted basket crown), exquisite jewelry, and a silk dhoti whose softness is perfectly captured by the subtle polish and cutting on granite.

The lines etched to depict Ganesha and his attributes in this sculpture are immensely fine, suggesting trained hands that have managed to make precise cuts and patterns in the hardness of the granite stone. In his auspicious Ekdanta and Vakratunda (trunk curving to left) form, Ganapati is in the most fortunate form in this statue.
