This bronze sculpture of Srinivasa radiates the splendour of the deity worshipped at Tirumala as the home of Sri.
Srinivasa stands beneath an exquisitely carved kirtimukha prabhavali. On either side rise the chakra and shankha on the stylised tails of the auspicious Makara.
The deity is adorned with a rich array of traditional jewels: the gandabherunda-crest on his chest flanked by Shesha, the stylised makara kundalas, a lotus-bud mala, a coin garland, and the prominent necklace bearing Lakshmi icons, affirming Srinivasa as the eternal abode of the Goddess. Each ornament is rendered with astonishing precision, echoing the opulence of the Tirupati temple tradition.
He stands upon a simhasana pedestal, flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi. At the front corners sit Garuda and Hanuman, guardians and devotees par excellence.
The lower register of the pedestal presents the Dashavatara, each avatar sculpted in miniature relief- a reminder of Vishnu’s eternal interventions to restore dharma across ages.
This bronze is not merely a sculpture but a temple in miniature, where every symbol, jewel, and deity comes together to evoke the grandeur of Tirumala.
