This artifact is a stylized Ganesha making use of geometric figures. It is a flat piece made out of sheet brass. The face is narrow and tapers down towards the trunk. The trunk is long and thin and falls vertically and then turns towards the left. The tusks are clinging to the trunk. The crown is least ostentatious and is shaped like a leaf. The ears are represented by two semi-circles. The eyebrows join in the middle and below them are two slanting eyes. The three horizontal lines with a dot, a symbol of Shiva, his father, adorns his forehead. The trunk has horizontal lines, which is the only naturalistic feature in the figure. Cylindrical pieces of brass form the neck and the arms. The arms curve symmetrically and narrow down as they reach the hands. The wrists have bangles and the forearms have arm bands on them. The body is a triangular form, with horizontal divisions with golden drops in between each section.
This Ganesha prominently wears the yajnopavita, a sacred thread going across the body from left shoulder to the right hip. Ganesha potbelly is absent as sits on his haunches playing the 'pakhawaj', a drum like musical instrument.
The craftsman has simplified the figure of Ganesha avoiding typical features yet retaining the essence of the god, remover of all obstacles.
