A Window into Enlightenment

Immerse yourself in the serene aura of Jainism with this meticulously crafted brass statue. It represents one of the revered Tirthankaras, spiritual teachers who have conquered the cycle of rebirth and provide a path to liberation. More than just a decorative piece, this statue is an embodiment of non-violence, truth, non-stealing, celibacy, and non-attachment - the core tenets of Jain philosophy. It is a reminder of the potential within each of us to attain spiritual perfection.

The Conquerors of the Ford

The term "Tirthankara" literally translates to "ford-maker," referring to their role in creating a ford across the river of worldly suffering. They are believed to appear in times of moral decline, offering guidance and leading humanity towards enlightenment. They are not considered deities, but rather perfected souls who have transcended earthly limitations. Their teachings are based on achieving liberation (moksha) through the Three Jewels: Right Faith, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct. Each Tirthankara is associated with a unique emblem, which symbolizes the teacher. The seated figure's tranquil expression and meditative posture remind us to seek inner peace and self-discovery.

Craftsmanship and Dimensions

This radiant brass statue captures the essence of spiritual tranquility and strength. The lustrous finish enhances the intricate details of the Tirthankara's figure, from the serene facial expression to the precise rendering of the seated pose. The pedestal and the architectural surround are adorned with additional figures and embellishments, enriching the visual narrative and adding to the piece's aesthetic appeal. Displaying dimensions of 13.1 x 8.5 x 5.5 inches, this substantial piece is perfectly sized for a meditation space, altar, or any area where you wish to cultivate a sense of calm and spiritual reflection. The solid brass construction ensures both durability and a beautiful, timeless quality that will be treasured for generations.

A Timeless Symbol of Inner Peace

Invite the spirit of Jainism into your home with this inspiring brass statue. It is a tangible representation of spiritual aspirations, perfect for personal reflection, mindful meditation, or as a thoughtful gift for those seeking to cultivate inner peace and enlightenment. Place it in a prominent location as a constant reminder of the path to liberation and the inherent potential for spiritual growth within us all.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
