The Sacred Sound: Om (AUM) Wall Hanging

Invite the profound essence of the universe into your living space with this exquisite brass wall hanging, embodying the sacred syllable "Om" (or "AUM"). This symbol is far more than just a letter; it is considered the primordial sound, the vibration from which all creation emanated. From the ancient Vedic texts to the teachings of yoga and meditation, Om resonates as the source of all existence, the sustainer of the cosmos, and the ultimate reality. In Hindu philosophy, the three letters of Om – A, U, and M – represent the three states of consciousness: waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. The silence that follows the utterance of Om signifies the fourth state, Turiya, which is pure consciousness, beyond the mundane experiences of life. It is the sound that connects us to the divine, a reminder of our inner peace and our oneness with the universe. In Buddhist traditions, Om is often chanted as part of mantras, particularly in Tibetan Buddhism, where it is a fundamental part of the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum," invoking compassion and wisdom. Crafted from durable and lustrous brass, this wall hanging captures the intricate beauty of the Om symbol. The golden sheen of the metal adds an aura of divinity and auspiciousness, making it a perfect addition to any meditation room, yoga studio, home altar, or even as a statement piece in your living area. Its presence is a constant invitation to mindfulness, tranquility, and spiritual awareness.

A Symbol of Auspiciousness and Protection

The Om symbol has been revered for millennia as a powerful emblem of auspiciousness and protection. It is believed to ward off negative energies and attract positive vibrations, creating a harmonious and peaceful environment. Placing this Om wall hanging in your home can serve as a beautiful and constant reminder of the spiritual journey and the underlying unity of all things. It is a timeless piece that carries a profound spiritual significance, making it an ideal gift for loved ones seeking peace, clarity, and a deeper connection to their inner selves. Let the resonant energy of Om fill your home and heart.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
