This Bengal cotton sari comes in a bright red color that is symbolic of the form of the ferocious Kali, who is greatly revered in Bengal. The body of the sari is in plain red color. The highlight of the sari is the zari border, which comes in a wavy pattern and creates a different effect on the sari. The pallav is again simple typical of the Bengal cotton saris, with vertical zari lines.
