Which side should Lakshmi face?

Maa Lakshmi should always be kept in the north or northeast direction of the room. If the idol or photo is kept in the eastern part then the goddess Lakshmi would face towards the east-west. The performer of puja should never face south.

Lakshmi should always be seated to the right of Ganesh. Any mistake in this matter is believed to bring a bad omen. It is generally advised that the Lakshmi charan paduka should be placed at the main door. To symbolize Goddess Lakshmi entering the building. The footprints should face the interior of the house and should be directed inside the house.

Can we keep standing Lakshmi idol at office?

Never keep standing Lakshmi's idol at home. Standing Lakshmi is known as Chanchala, the eternally restless one. One should never keep the image of Lakshmi standing in the house; she will get tired and run away. One will not get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi for long.

So, it is advisable to keep images of Lakshmi Mata comfortably seated on the lotus. Laxmi sitting on a kamalasana is the best posture to bring stability and growth to your wealth. Apart from this, it is considered auspicious to have an elephant or a pair of elephants with Lakshmi Mata. One should also avoid keeping the photo or idol of goddess Lakshmi with her ride, the owl.

What do the four hands of Goddess Lakshmi signify?

The Vedic scriptures describe Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of fortune, sitting or standing on a full-blown lotus flower. She is elegantly dressed in a red saree and is decorated with beautiful ornaments. Her bodily complexion resembles the color of molten gold and she possesses four arms that represent the four goals of the human form of life which are: Dharma (righteousness), Artha (pursuit of wealth), Kaam (emotional fulfillment), and Moksha (freedom from the cycle of birth and death).

Can we give Lakshmi idol to others?

Giving a Lakshmi idol to loved ones is considered very auspicious for the receiver as well as the giver. Goddess Lakshmi is the internal potency and eternal consort of Lord Vishnu, and therefore, she is considered a very important deity in the Vaishnava Sampradaya. She is revered as the Goddess of fortune and she blesses her pure devotees with both material and spiritual wealth.

It is believed that her mercy is the way to achieve the lotus feet of Lord Vishnu and thus, she should be worshiped with great reverence. When you spread the love of Godhead with others not only are they benefited, but you also receive some spiritual credits.
