Dinanath Batra is the former general secretary of Vidya Bharati, the school network run by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He has also founded the educational activist organisations Shiksha Bachao Andolan Samiti and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas.
