It gives me immense pleasure to introduce Anveshana-A Handbook of Research Methodology for PG Scholars, authored by Dr. Pradeep K. This book is a timely and invaluable contribution to the field of Ayurveda education, aligning seamlessly with the new NCISM curriculum. In a rapidly evolving world, the importance of integrating scientific rigor with traditional wisdom has never been more critical. Dr. Pradeep K., with his profound knowledge and academic experience, has skillfully crafted this handbook to guide postgraduate scholars in navigating the nuanced pathways of research.
The term Anveshana, meaning exploration or quest, aptly reflects the essence of research itself-an unwavering pursuit of knowledge. This book systematically presents the principles and practices of research methodology, tailored specifically to the Ayurvedic domain. By bridging classical Ayurvedic concepts with contemporary research paradigms, the author has ensured that this handbook serves not only as a theoretical guide but also as a practical tool for aspiring scholars.
The contents of this handbook are meticulously organized to address the diverse needs of postgraduate students. Topics such as the formulation of research questions, design and implementation of various study types, data collection methods, and the ethical dimensions of research are explained with clarity and relevance. Of particular significance is the incorporation of case studies and examples from Ayurveda, which help contextualize the theoretical frameworks within the traditional knowledge systems.
I am confident that Anveshana will inspire and empower its readers to embark on their research journeys with confidence, curiosity, and integrity. It is a valuable resource that will undoubtedly play a significant role in shaping the future of Ayurveda research.
I congratulate Dr. Pradeep K. for this commendable effort and recommend this book to all postgraduate scholars, faculty members, and practitioners who are passionate about advancing the boundaries of Ayurvedic knowledge.
