About the Book By Blood pressure we mean High Blood Pressure (H.B.P.). This is one of the commonest cardiovascular disorders of mankind throughout the world. It may be silent to be followed by danger of complications or may maniest with complications.

About the Author Dr. U. RAMA RAO,M.B.B.S., D.C.H. a well know family physician of Chennai city with an experience in family medicine for the past four decades deals with predisposing factors, causes, complications and treatment of Hypertension in simple understandable language.

Preface With the blessings of Nandhikuru Shri Durga Parameswari, I am able to complete this book, BLOOD PRESSURE, after a gap of two years. Deeper I went into the subject, the more complex the subject was! Anyhow I have made this subject, blood pressure, as simple as possible. Of course, occasional use of medical terminology was unavoidable.

With gratitude I remember the guidance and coaching given by my father Dr. U. Srinivasa Rao and my teacher, Professor Dr. A.T. John. I appreciate the help and encouragement given by my wife Mrs. U.
