The devoted Sants who earmarked the journey for the advance of humanity

Saints have been an essential part of Indian spiritualism. They have had a great influence on the development of various religious and spiritual thoughts around the country, and played a big role in spreading the unique Indian culture to different parts of the world. Some renowned Saints of India were-

  1. Shirdi Sai Baba: The formative years of Sai Baba are a riddle. Most legends suggest that he was embraced as a Sufi fakir or celibate monk after his birth as a Hindu Brahman. He purported that he had a Hindu mentor later on in life. He was an Indian fakir and spiritual guide who was honored equally by Muslims and Hindus both during and following his existence.  Sai Baba purportedly emphasized the significance of "awareness of the self" and reprimanded "passion for ephemeral possessions," per the accounts from his lifetime. His divine commandments highlighted love, humility, dedication to others, altruism, happiness, inner serenity, and allegiance to the Almighty and the Master.

  1. Guru Raghavendra Swami: A prominent Hindu saint from the 1600s named Shri Guru Raghavendra Swami preached Dvaita theology and Vaishnavism. In modern Andhra Pradesh, at Mantralayam, he accomplished Brindavana. The devotion of his followers in his everlasting involvement at his Brindavan at Mantralayam, whether it's in bodily or spiritual form, renders it an extremely popular religious destination in India.

  1. Adi Shankaracharya: There were several communities pursuing their very own beliefs and principles of devotion during Shankara's era. People were totally unaware about the One God's fundamental unity. Shankaracharya devised the six-sect model of worship for their convenience, introducing the principal godheads—Vishnu, Siva, Shakti, Muruka, Ganesha, and Surya—to the limelight.  He also created the rituals and customs that were to be conducted in the majority of the important temples in India. In addition to his extraordinary intellect and managerial skills, Shankaracharya was also a magnificent poet with a heart brimming with Divine Love.

  1. Shri Ramanuja: Saint Ramanuja's greatest contribution to the spiritual landscape was his claim that the quest for Absolute Truths requires dialectical thought, that the perceptible world is real and provides real knowledge, and that the requirements of everyday living are neither damaging to nor at conflict with spiritual practice. Like other devotees of Indian philosophy, Ramanuja acknowledged that any Vedanta worldview must be grounded in the three "points of departure"—the Upanishads, the Brahma-sutras, and the Bhagavadgita.

  1. Maha Periyava: Mahaperiyava commenced disseminating his wisdom through religious treks in the heartland of India. This includes rites and rituals like reciting the Vedas and engaging in various Poojas along with devotional activities. His devotees comprised Iyengars, various sub-castes, and Abrahamic worshippers. He performed the duty with ease and developed uncomplicated ceremonies for believers to enhance religious devotion, such as reciting and scripting the sacred name of Lord Rama. As soon as his disciples recognized he was not a regular citizen, they nicknamed him a Jagadguru (guru of the universe) for his intervention in addressing their difficulties.
