Woman being the locus of family, maintenance of her reproductive health as well as in later period is of prime importance. It is my great privilege to publish a book on Stree-Roga which encompasses the common gynecological disorders, the subject I always respect.<p>
It provides comprehensive updated information in a concise and easy to read format. Each chapter has been thoroughly updated to ensure that it reflects the cutting edge of medical knowledge and practice. Diagnosis through modern tools, management through Ayurveda and methods of practices of sthanika chikitsa in gynecological disorders and case studies are a special feature of this book.<p>
Ayurvedic Health Centers (AHC's) and wellness centers in villages have an important role in recomposing the Ayurvedic system as a life style and system of medicine. According to the availability of infrastructure and facilities A.M.O. in service have their own limitations. Keeping in view their prospective, the small effort has been made through this book to decide the cases which should be treated through Ayurvedic system of medicine in AHC's or to be referred to Ayurvedic Hospital or to the other system of medicine.<p>
For better understanding of the subject, the basic knowledge of the common gynecological disorders through Ayurveda and modern science has been put together in one frame. The emphasis has been given on the clinical and practical aspect of the gynecological disorders through Ayurveda viz. vyavastha-patra (line of management), sthanika chikitsa, case studies etc.<p>
The management of the common gynecological disorders can be understood in more concise manner as:<p>
a) The disorders which can be treated with Sanshamana chikitsa:
White discharge per vaginum<p>
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding <p>
Infertility Polycystic Ovarian Disease
Dysmenorrhea etc.<p>
b) The disorders which can be treated with Sanshamana chikitsa but for better results require Sthanika Chikitsa (Here, little more expertise and infrastructure is required):
First degree uterine prolapse Mild cystocele, rectocele Recurrent white discharge per vaginum Cervical erosion etc.<p>
c) The disorders which can be treated with Panchakarma procedures (Sanshodhana chikitsa), Uttarbasti along with Sanshamana chikitsa (Here, expertise and infrastructure including Panchkarma unit and O.T. facility is required):<p>
Infertility (cases of elderly woman, IVF Failure, unexplained infertility, Recurrent abortion, the case which have undergone entire process of allopathic treatment for infertility etc.)<p>
