About the Book India has been known to be favoured land of saints, seers and great personalities since ever. Whenever the Humanity has sidetracked, the great souls have incarnated and shown right path through their preaching's and teachings. Guru Jambheshwar ji occupies an important place in the long series of such incarnations. He has deeply impressed the psyche of populace through his Self and expressive style. Guru Jambheshwar Ji who incarnated in the 15th Century possessed immense foresightedness. The principles and regulations sprung off 29 commandments and Sabad Vaani are as meaningful and relevant as existed at his time. The problems such as environmental pollution that has gripped the attention of the whole world today was not only envisaged by Guru Jambheshwar Ji 500 years ago but remedial measures thereof were also suggested. The 29 commandments propounded by Guru Jambheshwar ji and precepts steeped in Sabad Vaani are revealing and relevant today. We find instinctive mention of problems of life and physical world as well as redressal thereof in his speeches. The principles and precepts of Guru Jambheshwar ji did not get adequate publicity. The main reason of their inadequate dissemination has been nonavailability of their translations in other languages. Dr. PR. Bishnoi has made up this jarring deficiency by formal translation and interpretation of complete Sabad Vaani in English language. English is certainly world language today. Through this English rendition of Sabad Vaani, teachings and preaching's will reach every nook and comer of the world. This is our firm belief. Dr. Bishnoi has done highly commendable job by translating and interpreting the esoteric thoughts of Guru Jambheshwar ji in simple and lucid english language. The commentator has further augmented the utility of the book by providing brief introduction to biography of Jambheshwar ji and succinct description of sacred places connected with the life of Guru Jambheshwar Ji. Jambhani Sahitya Akademi extols Dr. PR Bishnoi for the stupendous task of writing this esteemed, collectible and readable book.

About the Author PRITHWI RAJ was born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India, After finishing his High School and Intermediate Science from Bikaner, he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in chemical engineering from the UDCT (University Department of Chemical Technology) University of Bombay. After working as a Lecturer at the University of Bombay, he went to Canada and earned his PhD from the University of Alberta, Initially, he worked as Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) at the University of Alberta. After working as PDF, he worked with EPC (Engineering. Procurement and Construction) companies. In Canada for three years to get experience in designing natural gas plants and oil refineries. After getting the practical experience, he joined the University of Calgary as Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering. He retired as Professor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary after working there for 29 years. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary. During his career as an Academic he was very active in research, along with teaching. Several students finished their Ph.D, and Masters degrees under his supervision. He coauthored and published many research papers in refereed journals of international repute with his students. In addition, he authored many research and consulting reports for the industry in Canada, USA and Europe. His research interests included chemical engineering thermodynamics and natural gas hydrates. The research results of his group are used by the industry internationally in the fields of process simulation and pipeline designs especially for offshore applications. After retirement, along with continuing interest in chemical engineering, he is interested in reading and understanding spirituality based philosophies of India, His hobbies include listening to Classical music of India and hiking in the mountains. In addition he is interested in wildlife and nature landscapes photography. He is married and settled in Canada for the last 53 years.

Preface and Acknowledgements Right at the start I wish to point out that I am not the best qualified or for that matter even qualified person to write this book. I have devoted prime time of my life in studying science and engineering. I have never written anything in the field of religion or spiritual philosophy. When I retired from my work as Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, University of Calgary, Canada, I strongly felt that I should learn more about my own heritage. I felt the need to learn more about the teachings of Guru Jambhoji. After all without his teachings there will be no Bishnoi faith or even word like Bishnoi or Bishnoi. Most importantly Guru Jambhoji had the vision to talk and teach about the importance of preserving ecology to save the wild life and the trees on this planet some 550 years ago. According to him the issue was so important that it was incorporated as a way of life and religious faith in his teachings. A long time ago I had obtained the book by Dr. Heeralal Maheshwari entitled "Jambhoji ki SabadVaani" (Published in 1976 CE) in Hindi language. The book contained interpretation and explanation of the Sabads of Guru Jambhoji. These Sabads laid the foundation of the Bishnoi faith. I had wanted to read the book and understand it thoroughly. However, I did not find the time and energy to do this, as the demand on my time put by my engineering profession was just too high. Once I retired from my responsibilities as a professor of chemical engineering I diverted myself to study the book by Dr. Maheshwari. The book of Dr. Maheshwari inspired me to seek deeper understanding of the contents of the Sabads and expressing them in English language. I felt that bringing out the teachings in English language will expose them to a broader audience in India as well in the world.
