Like languages, every country and culture has its own sexual practices, depending upon its values, social requirements and general circumstances; and they stay secret even in open cultures. But India has been different since ancient times; her practices were not only penned in books but beautifully carved in stone.
The credit of popularising these in modern times goes to Sir Richard Burton, by translating and publishing them in English many years ago. Hindu erotica is now relatively well known, so is the Arabian which has its special flavours. The Japanese tie up their women with ropes; the Chinese look at sex as life enhancing, so they have devised different ways of the act: the Yellow Emperor had sex with 1200 girls to become a god.
The present series proposes to unravel all these one after the other.
