I have been doing research work on Lalon Fakir, the remarkable saint poet of Bengal for several years, This has one extensive field work in West Bengal and Bangladesh, the birth place of Lalon and the main centre of Lalon's activities, I have tried to probe deeply into Lalon's Philosophy and theory under-lying his songs, a valuable contribution to the religious cult of undivided Bengal. His contribution has not yet lost its relevance even in the last lap of 20th century, when the man has almost lost spiritual mooring. This is why I have trans created some of his songs of great spiritual significance, specially for the non-Bengali readers, who want to know the spiritual implication of Lalon's song. If my effort is appreciated I will feel rewarded.
