Dear readers, I became interested in leaming French when I was a student of DELHI SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS This institute is in DELHI UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, I am indebted to my teachers of French Department, Panjab University and teachers of Alliance Française de Delhi because guidance of these teachers helped me in acquiring knowledge of French. I am also grateful to Monsieur Jean Jacques Magraner, Pedagogic Counsellor, Embassy of France in India who taught me French along with other lecturers of French in French Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1979 for a short period. I visited France in August 1987. This visit of France helped me in knowing about French culture. My experience of teaching
