Preface It is our good fortune that by the Divine Grace of Bhagavan Baba, we could make a humble endeavor to collect all the letters/circulars written by Dr. Shyam Sunder, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Himachal Pradesh from time to time, to all the Office bearers, active workers and the devotees of the state during the last decade, since the day he has been living at the Lotus Feet of Bhagavan Baba at Prasanthinilayam. Dr. Shyam Sunder is popularly known as "Guruji" in Himachal Pradesh because of his dedicated life both in the teaching profession and as a social worker, too. He joined the education profession on 12th. August, 1968 in the erstwhile S. D. B. College, Shimla to teach the subject of Botany. He did not take any respite from the very first day after joining the job. He was pioneer in many social undertakings and was the most popular professor of his academic days. All the students had the craze to listen to his lectures. The love and respect was mutual between the teacher and the taught. His joining the job at Shimla was the Divine gift of Bhagavan Baba to the people of Himachal Pradesh. As a single but ardent devotee of Bhagavan Baba, he worked with great confidence by mingling with students both from Arts and Science faculties. His inspiring character made him more and more dear and popular day by day. This is how he started with sweet word of Sai Ram first among the student and then the people in general and started acquainting the people of Himachal Pradesh with the Glory of Bhagavan Baba.
