This book is a thesis submitted for Ph.D, after verifying so many texts of Darsanas. The material had been collected regarding MANAS and arranged systematically for the easy understanding of readers about Manas, which is a very interesting subject. It provides one time information on the topic.

However it does't contain full details from Nastikadarsanas since the study of Nastikas itself is a separate research work.

 

About the Author

Dr. Gullapalli Srinivasu was born in Kolluru Village, Guntur Dist., Andhra Pradesh in 27 June,1965 as the thired son of Brahmasri Ghanasikharam Gullapalli Venkatanaryana Ghanapathi, a renowned Krsnaajurveda Scholar and Srimati Venkataramanamma. He had studied Sanskrit literature under various Gurus through traditional system and completed Post Graduation in Acharya Nagarjuna University. Further he intiated research and was awarded Ph.D in 1993, by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati. The research was pursued under the able guidance of Prof. K.E. Govindan, Dean and expert of Darsanas. Dr. Srinivasu was a recipient of Vikaram Kalidasa Award from Vikram University, Ujjain, for his best research paper on Mahakavi Kalidasa. He translated stotras of Adisankaracarya into Telgu. He was one of the experts for the major project on Mahabharata, which was successfully completed and submitted to M.H.R.D. Presently Dr. Srinivasu in heading the Department of Sanskrit at Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi University, Kanchipuram
