Book Description
About the Book
This is a book that is primarily meant for all those who understand that they have had a rare opportunity of having studied in an educational institution established by Bhagawan himself. For those young friends who are looking to find a place in Parthi or Brindavan as a student, it will provide motivation and might even fire them with the lofty ideals that Swami expects in his students. In this autobiographical account, I have tried to map my Journey from Manipur to Puttaparthi running to over three and a half decades starting in 1982. From my first darshan at Whitefield, to being a part of the Sri Sathya Institute of Higher Learning and the Sri Sathya Sai Hostel, to the Nagaland and Gujarat chapters, the book tries to explore how Swami lives on in our lives even long after we are no longer in His physical presence. Swami's assurance of being one with me is the greatest gift that He had bestowed on me and my family. But for Swami, I might have lost myself in the north-east mountains and might have become anti-social being.

Foreword
Every life has a tale to share. Each is a unique journey from the source, back to the source. Just like the water from the sea, when touched by the rays of the sun, flies high in the sky as cloud and rains down, then webs through the hills and valleys, rushes back to merge into the ocean THE SOURCE. A seed germinates, gets rooted, grows into a sapling with the loving support of the natural forces and the tender care of environmental conditions, and then takes the form of a gigantic tree which is ready to yield the seeds again. Every life of an individual is a story of this journey with a predetermined goal. This continues till the goal is met. The journey necessarily gets influenced by the environment of its manifestation. For an invaluable human life, if the right environment is set then the journey becomes speedy, safe and purposeful. An educational system is supposed to provide such an environment to cultivate good qualities, inspire individuals with Divine feelings to practice Love and Unity which ultimately makes one realize his true self. A story of a young man finding his roots and growing with the support of an educational system that trains him to face the vagaries of life is indeed an interesting read.

Preface
But for Swami, I might have lost myself in the north-east mountains and might have become an anti-social being. In effect, I consider myself an educationist who wishes to lead a life inspired by Swami's educational ideals. The book, I hope and pray to Swami, would provide the readers an insight to see and experience the cosmic design gradually unfolding for His Sai students.
