"The moon's revolution around the earth represents a menstrual cycle and 15th day is the day of new moon which represents new life, or conception. Ovulation period lasts 24 hours which is the same as the duration for which the moon transits a single nakshatra. If the sexual encounter occurs within the ovulation period and the woman ends up conceiving then the fusion of the ovum with sperm happens within 48 hours which is the duration of the moon transiting a single rashi."
This quote from the author is not merely imagination but the hidden truth behind the process of conception, which is now proved in this research. Astrology is neither a miracle, imagination nor is it superstition. It is a scientific study of heavenly bodies and what these bodies indicate about an event. You will appreciate upon reading this book how strong the bonds are between celestial bodies and the happenings on earth.
Born, raised and educated in Kolkata (then Calcutta), Dr. Maya Gupta not only excelled academically as a child, but also always harboured a curiosity about new age phenomenon, alternate methods of healing and ancient wisdom. She has thoroughly studied the works of great philosophers from all over the world and taught herself Yoga and meditation.
Naturally, she gravitated towards Homoeopathy for her higher studies and afterwards developed an inquisitiveness towards Indian astrology. After obtaining the Acharya qualification from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi, she went deeper into her area of research. The following pages will display the outcome of this research.
Aadhana Kundali or pre-natal horoscope is one of the most mysterious areas of astrology with different persons expressing different interpretations for it. The author of this book is a doctor by profession and also an astrologer who has studied astrology at Institute of Astrology, Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan. On the basis of her knowledge of medical science and astrology she has presented this interesting research on pre-natal horoscope. The author claims that pre-natal chart will be the chart of exactly 15th day from the time of sexual union and Moon's longitude on that day will be the same as it will be at the time of birth. There is medical reason for taking 15th day, this the author has explained. Moreover, the concept of 15th day also has support of our scriptures as is given in 'Garbhopanishada':
The Shloka clearly states that 'Half month after the sexual union it will become a 'Pinda' or solid one unit'. Medically also, the heart beats for the first time on the 15th day. Thus, there is justification in taking the 15th day from the day of conception. The main challenging areas of the research are: To know the exact time of sexual union that led to conception. It is easy to know this time more accurately for animals than for human beings.
The linkage of the pre-natal horoscope with birth horoscope. There may be varying opinions which need further testing on a larger sample.
The author has put forth an idea which can be further tested and elaborated by those who can have access to correct data needed for this purpose.
