Preface
In this title, we have raised some important questions on the Mystery of Subhash's Death. Subhas Chandra Bose emerges as a true nationalist leader of great importance who made significant contributions to the national movement and the political traditions and styles in India. Unfortunately, we could not find right answer regarding the death of this great hero. Here, we have tried to examine his history from his mission to escape from India to mystery of death. He worked with the one single aim of making India free from foreign domination and givin, a better economic life and social justice to her people.

The mighty freedom movement bears indelible marks of Bose's contributions. Though in importance, he stood next only to Gandhi and Jawaharlal, his vision and work constitute most fascinating chapter of our history of freedom movement. His life is an inspiring saga of service and sacrifice. He was a mystic who had been turned into a revolutionary because of his great love for India and its past heritage and culture which were to be saved from being destroyed by the British. He sacrificed everything for the noble cause of liberating his mother land and though his dream was no fulfilled he had neither a sense of frustration nor any regrets. He deified India as a Goddess and imparted a spiritual significance to the national movement.

Introduction
Bose was a mystic and a visionary. From his very childhood, Bose was a man of action. He never hesitated to defend his Ideals, whatever may be the nature of sacrifice. He had unbounded capacity to work and inspire enthusiasm among the people whom he led. He was the embodiment of courage, patriotism and optimism. He had insatiable thirst for God and Truth. This made him seek after "Sadhus' and saints and thus the search for a 'Guru' continued till he returned disillusioned but greatly reconciled with himself. There came the transformation from Yogic exercises of concentration and meditation to the service of humanity. He was a follower of Vivekananda and was looked upon by many as destined to lead a spiritual life. His plunge into politics might appear to some as an accident' and not in accordance with his "Swadharma," but religion. which stood for service to humanity in its broadest connotation culminated in political activities for the emancipation of the oppressed people. Not being a believer in escapist philosophy, Yoga or spiritualism per se could not satisfy him. He believed "with every fibre of his being that spiritual truth and patriotism were but different aspects of the same Divine." He, therefore, could not retire to the Himalayas to lead the life of a recluse, oblivious of the suffering of his countrymen. His mystic outlook thus got channeled into the mainstream of the national movement for the emancipation of the Motherland. It was the mystic in him that was responsible for "defying a peninsula into a goddess."
