Set against a mystifying and magnificent silhouette of miniature landscapes, the MYSTIC SOUNDSCAPES FESTIVAL, held in Mumbai, saw the coming together of the finest maestros of World Music.
A World Music extravaganza, the Mystic Soundscapes festival featured three themes – Desert, Forest and Wind, presented in three power-packed performances by the pioneers of World Music, Amaan Ali Khan, Ayaan Ali Khan, Taufiq Qureshi and Rakesh Chaurasia respectively.
This DVD features the fabulous sarod duo Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan in their live thematic presentation – Mystic Soundscapes – Desert.
In this scintillating video presentation, they bring alive the various elements of the desert. As the sarod weaves into the World Music canvas, one travels through the starkness of the desert, its contrasting colours, experiencing the empty echoes that fill the vacuum and the overpowering sounds of the cultural heartbeat of this vast land.
