Book Description
From the CD

Shri Narayan, also known as Shri Hari or Bhagwan Vishnu represents the supreme reality that preserves and sustains the universe. It is said that a prayer to lord Narayan, is a prayer to existence itself.

Appearig in the world either to correct some great evil of to bring about some great good on earth, in each form Shri Narayan has embodied various divine qualities. As Parashurama he was the man of power, as Rama the divine sage and as kalki the saviour. In all his various manifestations Shri Narayan or lord Vishnu has established himself as the only preserver of this universe.

The quest for this preserver God in the Hindu trinity has led many devotees to this one simple chant "Om Namoh Narayan", that takes us into the realm of higher spiritual awareness. Narayan Dhun, a musical rendition of this effective mantra composed by Shri Venu Gopal Goswami ji is an experience of being close to the one who is eternally unchangeable and immutable.

Bhagvat Acharya Shri Venu Gopal Goswamiji

Shri Chaitaqnya Sampradayachrya Shri Venu Gopal Goswamiji was born in the lineage of Sri Gopal Bhatta Goswami, the successor to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, on Sharad Purnuma in 1961, in the city of Vrindaban, the playground of Lord Krishna. He obtained a bachelor's degree at the Benaras Hindu University in Sanskrit, philosophy, Ancient Indian history and Archeology. Later he joined center for advanced studies in Sanskrit at Poona's University for his Master's degree in Vedanta. In pursuit of higher learings, Venu Gopalji returned to Varanasi (the city of learning). Sitting at the feet of his Guru Prof. T.R.V.Murti (who taught at the Harvard University) deeper meanings of Bhakti-shastra were unraveled to him.

The five hundred year old family tradition of preaching Srimad Bhagvat Purana has been passed on to him by him by his father Sant Sri Purushottam Goswamiji Maharaj, who is a leading authority on it himself.

In ancient India the hymns from the Vedas were recited with music. Keeping the same tradition alive Venu Gopalji has evolved a unique style of singing shlokas of Bhagvad Purana and explaining them. He received his formal training in Indian classical music from the renowned vocalist Sri Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj.

Goswamji has preached for over a decade in 55 cities of 22 countries. His teachings have beefited many in solving problems in their daily lives. He believes that the teachings of Bhagvad Purana can only remove the suffering in Kaliyug. Sant Venu Gopal Goswami is a young Acharya in Radha Raman, one of the oldest temples of Vrindaban.

A musical rendition of the simple mantra "Om Namoh Narayana", Narayan Dhun will fill each of us with a sense of devotion and oneness with the Supreme Divine Reality.
