Book Description

Foreword

Great is the power of the woman! Hidden in the depths of her existence, it overwhelms her body and vibrates her consciousness, daring her to express it, make it into life, creation. And she, as the blood flows in her veins and her senses and emotions awaken, feels great happiness, and thoughts of love and offering come to her mind. She impulsively opens her embrace to adore the man, the child, the entire world, her own self, which is filled with the desire for a creative life. This will of the woman is often hindered by an opposite will. It is those times when there is something she does not like and refuses to accept, when some part of life causes her to react or be afraid. And then her embrace abruptly shuts again, asphyxiatingly shutting her huge power within her small human body. The passion for life is stifled, the heart freezes, her senses and emotions deaden; instead of becoming a source of love, they become fear, sorrow, torturous ide-as. The great power is reversed to great weakness, and this brings desperation and loneliness. What is then left for the woman? Only pain! And it is this pain that awakens again the self-preservation in-stinct and forces the mind to seek the reasons that caused it, to seek the spark of hope that will illuminate the darkness of frustration and reveal the light of the soul. Power and weakness, creation and destruction. But are these qualities only of the woman? Does the man not have exactly the same qualities? Is he not also powerful and weak, creative and de. structive? He certainly is, since he also is a human being, he also receives and gives, wants and refuses, loves and hates. What, there-fore, is the reason to study specifically the woman and her power? Why not address the human being in general, exploring the common features of both sexes, their similar nature, earthly and spiritual? What is special about the female sex and what is its calling? Nature formed the female body and gave it the characteristics of receptiveness, created it to accept the man, conceive his sperm and gestate it. It personified in the woman one aspect of power, the one which embraces, nourishes, develops the small, the weak, the child. The same power it gave to the sphere of the earth, which, within its soil, its seas and its atmosphere, inseminates all the forms of life, nurtures them and preserves them. On another level, not physical but of consciousness, nature made the entire human race, giving it also the quality of recep-tiveness. It created it to become the receiver, the one who receives the energies and forces of life, embraces them, accepts them and realizes them. And the more conscious human beings become, the more they are united with nature itself, the one and only, the nature of God. Receivers of the divine power are both the man and the woman. But the woman, because of her natural physique which affects her entire psyche.
