The impact of Swami's inspirational teachings has intensified through the author's guest-faculty visits at SSSIHL, organizational roles and years of study circles with incarcerated persons in NY state prisons. This book comprises of major topics for an individual's journey from i to I. An exclusive chapter focuses on awareness and integration of Swami's principal teachings. It's a blessing and bliss to quote Swami straight with full discourse reference from the sea of Sathya Sai literature. It's an added boon to know the context for the divine maxims and contemplate on them further. Foreword In the 1970's and 1980's Dr. John Hislop, the first President of the Sathya Sai Baba Central Council of America and author of Conversations with Sathya Sai Baba, used to make notes on index cards. Whenever he would read a quotation from Sri Sathya Sai Baba that caught his special interest, he would write it down so that he could contemplate the point in more depth. He studied these quotations and used them in his frequent talks with devotees for the purpose of elucidating Swami's teachings of special importance. Brother Murthy Cheruvu has provided us with a similar service in this volume. He has taken points from Sai Baba's talks and writings and has brought to our attention special messages of interest and importance. Many of Brother Murthy's quotations revolve around acronyms and word plays, for which Swami is well known. These examples make the teachings easily memorable and help us to keep in mind salient points as we work during our busy days. In addition, Murthy has provided the source of quotations, so that we may investigate additional information and context for messages that particularly pique our interest.
