Description
About the Book

In this commentary, besides giving a suitable meaning to each name, the great commentaries of Sri Sankara as well as Sri Parasara Bhatta are also very briefly cited. This enables the reader to comprehend the full Import and significance of every name with varied shades of meaning and also the dissenting points of view of the Advaita and Vishishtadvaita philosophies.

About the Author

Sree Padmanabha Dasa Uthradom Tirunal Marhanda Varma was born in 1922 as the younger brother of H H Sri Chithira Tirynal Balarama Varma, Naharaja of Travancore. He graduated in 1941 securing a first class and first rank in Sanskrit.

As the younger prince of Travancore, he travelled widely and keenly observed the customs and practices prevailing in the various nations of the world. As a result he got thoroughly convinced of the superiority of the Indian culture and thence committed to the propagation its traditions through his speeches and writings.

He now leads a pious and detached life completely surrendering his self at the Lotus Feet of the Lord Sree Padmanabha, true to his great ancestral tradition.
