Born at Naihati (a suburban town in North 24 Parganas in West Bengal) in a family of academicians, Mallar Chatterjee remains a quintessential small-town person despite staying in Delhi and Kolkata for a long time. Mallar had special interest in mythology right from his childhood. He did his schooling from Bhatpara Amarkrishna Pathshala and Naihati Narendra Vidyaniketan. He did his undergraduation and post-graduation (in Economics) from the University of Kalyani. Shakuni and The Dice of Doom is his second book of the Mahabharata series published by Readomania. His debut novel is Yudhisthira-The Unfallen Pandava (Book 1 of the Mahabharata series). This is an imaginary autobiography of Yudhishthira who, like an ordinary man, retells the events of the Mahabharata in first person giving a first-hand account, as if he witnessed the incidents himself. Mallar is a Central Government employee. He is based in Kolkata.
