Ganesha who is worshipped by all the sects. In practice too, it is Ganesha who is invoked before the commencement of worshipping other gods, as his blessings are considered auspicious. He is the Lord of Beginnings, the benign remover of obstacles, and thereby occupies an eminent position. Amongst His various attributes are an elephant goad, noose, broken tusk, chakra, mace, trident, lotus and a modaka. His one hand is usually raised in benediction blessing the entire universe.
Ganesha is the embodiment of success, good living, prosperity and peace in life.
