The grand success of the Three-Day International Seminar on 'Impact of Sri Krisņa Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Some of His Followers' organized on March 5-7, 2010, on the occasion of the 500th Anniversary Celebration of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Entry into Sannyasa-Jśrama and also in bringing out the proceedings of the seminar under the title sri Chaitanyacharitānuśilana, edited by me, created an urge in the minds of a large section of people of the society to have another international seminar on the occasion of the 525th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and, I feel extremely happy to mention, the Gaudiya Mission has come forward to take the leading part in organizing the same seminar and selected the subject 'srī Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Universal Brotherhood'. An Advisory Board has been formed with the Hon'ble Justice Shyamalkumar Sen (Former Governor of West Bengal) as the Chairman and me as the Vice-Chairman. As per a decision of the Advisory Board, I have also been requested to be the President of the Inaugural Session and the Academic Sessions of the Seminar and also to be the Editor of all publications relating to the seminar.
Scholars in and outside India engaged in the study of Mahaprabhu sri Chaitanya were contacted for contributing articles to the seminar and also for sending the abstracts of their papers and the full papers respectively within February 5, 2012, and February 15, 2012. It is worth-noting here that the response from scholars being quite inspiring, it has been decided that the seminar should have, besides the Inaugural Session, two Academic Sessions and the Valedictory Session.
Within February 15, 2012, Abstracts of Papers in English or Bengali from almost all the expected contributors reached the office of the Gaudiya Mission and they are printed here, session-wise and in English or Bengali after required editing by me, for the convenience of the participants.
