We are very happy to present to the readers, this valuable book entitled 'Sri Jnaneshwar-Seer and Poet'. It was originally written in Marathi by Swami Shivatatvananda and published by Ramakrishna Math, Nagpur in the year 1968.

The well-known motherly saint-poet Sri Jnaneshwar, the soul of Maharashtra has blessed spiritual aspirants with his unique spiritual works called Prasthanatrya which comprises of the sacred books, Jnaneshwari, Amrutanubhava and Changadev- Pasashti, the immortal nectar of his own divine experience of the Self! Rich in literary value and poetic quality, his work is indeed incomparable in the entire history of spiritual literature. In his work, the nectar of Brahmavidya is poured through the lovely, sweet medium of poetry and therefore readers, the lovers of poetry get enchanted and like a honey-bee sip the honey of its poetic beauty but unfortunately think it to be a mere poetry and Sri Jnaneshwar just a poet. By this, they miss the Brahmavidya, the essence which alone brings fulfilment in life.

To save the readers from limiting themselves to the external form of this Divine Song and help them reach its very core, this small treatise was written by Swami Shivatatvananda, the donor of Brahmavidya of the present age.
