About the Book In the talavakaropanișat, the supreme lord nārāyaņa-parabrahman is depicted as beyond the reach of sense-organs and the mind. It is because of infinite nature of the supreme Brahman. The Parabrahman is infinite in space, time and attributes. Being infinite in space is nothing but being present everywhere (Sarvavyāptatva or omnipresence). Being infinite in time refers to the Parabrahman being beyond origin and destruction (eternity or Nityatva). Being infinite in attributes refers to the supreme Brahman being the embodiment of infinite divine qualities (Ananta-kalyäņaguņa- paripūrņatva).

About the Author Dr. P. Vinay (respectfully addressed as Vinayacharya as per the tradition), M.A, Vidwat (Dvaita Vedanta), Ph.D, D.litt., is an authority on the Dvaita School of Vedanta of Śrī Madhvācārya. He has authored many original works in Sanskrit and English on Vedanta and other philosophical subjects. He is currently the Assistant Professor in the Department of Vedanta in Karnataka Samskrit University (KSU), Bangalore, India and also the Head of the Deparment of Vedanta. Dr. Vinayacharya is bestowed with the prestigious Prof. Hiriyanna Award for best Indology book.

Preface The sarvamüla-granthas of Śrī Madhvācārya are the foundation texts of Dvaita School of Vedanta which heralded the revolution of rigorous realism in Indian philosophy. It paved the way for a new wave of thought in Indian philosophy and marked a departure from conventional bias of idealism in Vedantic thought. The works of Śrī Madhvācārya are not only copious but also full of brevity and complexity. As it is noted in the biography of the acarya, the works of Śrī Madhvācārya are:- Human life began with philosophy. The nature that presented itself to man in various manifestations such as the light, sky, water and air made man to wonder upon a divine force within the wonderful working of the nature. Philosophizing is an attempt to find an inner meaning behind the apparent, at much deeper a level. The apparent nature, as well is the divine working within it, are recognized as equally real and yet dependent and independent respectively. This grand philosophy is simple and yet striking and sublime. This undercurrent can be seen in all expressions of philosophy irrespective of regional variations. as Introduction In the Indian scenario, the sages who are hailed as rşi not only expressed their awe at the divine presence in nature, but also themselves became a human verbal channel for the flow of eternal Vedas through their mind and mouth. The Vedas are eternal words which are impersonal (not written by anyone). The Vedas are the word of God, eternally in the mind of God without beginning and end. The Vedas are the storehouse of eternal wisdom. They contain philosophy embedded in mystical, esoteric, poetic language. They have many depths of meanings which makes every philosopher to muse over them gain and again.
