Dr Tarun Baveja is a bearer of the torch of Integral Yoga. In him are blended - Bhakti, Jnana and Karma.
The seeds of Integral Yoga were sown in him by his Family and Convent School Education in Gurugram, where equal emphasis was laid on Academics, Sports and Cultural activities.
The spirit of service to the poor and sick was transmitted to him during the Medical Education of UCMS-Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi.
He also has had the good fortune of studying the Scriptures at the feet of his traditional Guru Swami Brahmanandaji at Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh. In the year 1996 he entered his 'Karma Bhoomi'- Sri Aurobindo Ashram-Delhi Branch where he spearheaded The Mother's Integral Health Centre (TMIHC). He has piloted School Health, Community Outreach and Clean Mind Programmes, to name a few. These programs are unique, holistic and universal in approach and content.
What 'Isolation' has done to the Covid Management is well known to all of us. We should also bring back to our minds the advice of 'Ekanta' given by our Rishis to be practised as a discipline. It is just that the one who had been accustomed to 'Ekanta' would have found adaptation to Isolation for Covid Management easier. His Wellness score would remain unchanged. Such is the application of the Wisdom of Sanatana Dharma.
Sanatana does not mean ancient. It certainly means Eternal. And Eternal includes the present times as well. However, if we do not charge our Cell Phones for a couple of months, the phone would not function when an urgent need arises. Similarly, the one who would not practice the Eternal Wisdom would be handicapped to meet a challenge arising today.
This is the background for writing the present book Wellness - Wisdom of Sanatana Dharma. The Book highlights some thoughts taken from Ramayana, Gita, Upanishads and a few others. This book is my prayer to inspire the readers to enforce the practice of the Wisdom and reap the benefit, Wellness.
I shall ever remain indebted to Didi Tara Jauhar, Chairperson, Sri Aurobindo Ashram-Delhi Branch and Swami Sakshatkritananda Saraswatiji, Chief Acharya, Swami Dayananda Ashram, Rishikesh, for writing precious Forewords to the book.
My heartfelt gratitude to Smt. Swati Kohli and VIBA Press for their tireless striving to make the book see the light of the day.
The book 'Wellness' coming out from the understanding of Sri. T.Baveja, will surely contribute to one's well being if one dives deep into the well of wisdom it contains. Be it the knowledge of oneness or the devotion of one and only god or the wisdom of world that helps a person conduct oneself well, Baveja's contribution is tremendous. The skill of communication lies in taking the total attention of the reader and make him or her identify with the character or idea that one is talking about. Sri Baveja has scored distinction in this area also. I enjoyed reading some articles in the book.
I am sure this book will reach multitude of readers benefiting them in wholesome way. With prayers for the same.
