UPANAYANA, VIVAHA AND GRUHASTASRAMA
His Holiness sri. Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi is one of the most charming and venerated personalities of modern India. When one comes to know more about Him, His life and His work, it would be difficult to regard Him as a mere secrarian head of a religious institution in Tamil Nadu. He not only brought ablut resurgence, but was also a source of illumination and inspiration to seekers both in Indea and abroad.
If one digs a little deeper, the many diensions of this spititual monarch, scholar, saint and social thinker make it evident as to why He was able to inspire the learned as well the common man. He made a deep impression on people and had a profound influence on those who met Him, through his simple and Spartan way of living.
His holiness Sri. Chandrasekhaarendra Saraswathi is the 68th Acharya to adorn Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam as its Peetadhipathi. Several acharyas who adorned the peetan vefore Him were great tapasvis. Some were outstanding poets scholars well versed in the shastras. Some propogated Bhakthi marga with great zeal.
In His various conversations, answers ton question from from devotees and public discourses He has touched upon all asects of Sanathana Dharma and its practice. This publication specitfically addresses three Subjects of increasing interest amongst various seveal publications that describe the rituals to be followed but none talks bout the purpose and context in which we must understand the roles of Upanyaana, Vivha & Gruhasthasrama in our lives. The Acharya deals with these subjects with His characteristic simplicity and clarity.
