The beautiful woman that emerges from the background of clouds is dressed in a green lehenga (skirt), & covering her upper body and her head is a pink diaphanous odhini. The skirt gathers at the waist in which is tucked one end of the odhini. In a shy manner, she pulls a part of the latter to conceal her face. The hands decorated with henna have long tapering fingers that tug at the odhini. The round face exudes an innocence that attracts the viewer the way her head bends, the way her light eyes lift, a smile that is not so confident is endearing. Her delicate neck bears the weight of most of the ornaments as bangles conceal the delicacy of the wrists.
The artist uses subtle shades to paint the portrait. The background is sculpted in such a way that the lighter tone on the inside gives the effect of a nimbus around her.
