The Bhagvata Purana and the Gita Govinda propound that the self unites with the supreme only in love. Krishna stands for the supreme being and the gopis for the self, their love of him being the supreme act.

The rectangular painting is vertically divided into three sections. The middle section, narrower than the other two, has Radha & Krishna standing on a lotus pedestal. Lost in each other's love, they are oblivious to the sakhis standing with a fan and flywhisk, waving them with respect. The artist paints the lotus pond in the foreground in black, perhaps, for chromatic effect.

The two side sections have the rasa-mandala imagery. What sets the two apart are the middle circular spaces. The left one shows the inseparable brothers, Krishna and Balarama, their contrasting bodies, in a gesture of unity. The middle of the right rasa-mandala depicts Krishna lifting mount Govardhana on his little finger. The petal look-alike of the mandala shows each gopi with Krishna. The rasa dance is a completely spiritual performance. Krishna, the supreme mystic expanded himself in many forms & stood beside each gopi.

This is to inform you that the shipment of my order has arrived in perfect condition. The actual shipment took only less than two weeks, which is quite good seen the circumstances. I waited with my response until now since the Buddha statue was a present that I handed over just recently. The Medicine Buddha was meant for a lady who is active in the healing business and the statue was just the right thing for her. I downloaded the respective mantras and chants so that she can work with the benefits of the spiritual meanings of the statue and the mantras. She is really delighted and immediately fell in love with the beautiful statue. I am most grateful to you for having provided this wonderful work of art. We both have a strong relationship with Buddhism and know to appreciate the valuable spiritual power of this way of thinking. So thank you very much again and I am sure that I will come back again.
