This sari is combination of two traditions of the chanderi and the Benares weaves. Chanderi saris are light and beautiful weaves from the land of Madhya Pradesh. Chanderi saris come in a very light texture, which is a combination largely of cotton and little silk in the fabric. These saris are very easy to carry and to maintain.

Benarasi brocades from time immemorial have been the norm of courtly fashions in north India. Woven in heavy silk traditionally, they used gold and silver threads to weave motifs that are drawn from the diverse fauna of the country. The weaves thus had exquisite floral and creeper patterns making the fabric really rich.

The body of the sari is very richly done with a circular kind of floral weave in zari threads. The closeness of the weave makes the body look full. The border of the sari has small flowers amidst continuous creepers within carved geometrical lines.

The pallav is very rich and intricate with small mango leaves closely woven in rows. The zari weave of the pallav enhances the beauty if the sari manifold. The closeness of the mango leaves fall into a beautiful pattern. The sari comes with a red blouse with zari weave on the hands.
