Lying with her right leg over the other, accentuating the curve of the hip, she wears a saree, knotted at the waist and part of it covering her chest carefully. With the help of one arm, she holds her face aloft to appreciate her looks in the mirror held in the other hand. She wears a necklace, the pendant of which falls to her waist. Her earrings, nose ring, bangles everything is in place. A prominently placed dot in the center of her forehead is relevant. It is an ancient Hindu belief that a red dot on the ajna chakra between the eyes averts evil. The framed mirror seems to give her satisfaction and she looks pleased with herself.
Since this is a simple, tribal work, the polish and refinement of brass is missing. As much attention is given to the front, the back is sadly neglected.
