This comely maiden adjusts her pallu or part of the sari that covers the head. This exercise in modesty is in sharp contrast to the overall demeanor of her posture, which is sensuous to say the least. Her cleavage is revealed through the upper portion of her tight choli (bodice). Indeed her bosom fills to capacity the garment restraining it, though how long will it manage to do so is anybody's guess, since swelling with passion it threatens to spill out of her choli at any instant.

Beautifully bedecked in various ornaments embellished with rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and other precious stones, she is a perfect object of desire. The icing on the cake is the intoxicating, alluring look of her eyes.

Along the raised circumference of this marble saucer are embossed entwined, dense flowery motifs and creepers in 24 karat gold. These are reminiscent of the floral motifs appearing as incised painted patterns on the Tajmahal. Indeed it was during the reign of Shahjahan that Indian artists refined such depictions, transforming them into a hallmark of Mughal decorative style.

This description by Nitin Kumar, Executive Editor, Exotic India.

These unique artworks come along with a suitable gift box, and also a wooden stand - as shown in the accompanying image on the left.
