Her diaphanous upper garment is barely sufficient to cover half of her breasts. Consequently the lower portion of her bosom spills out, while the left mound threatens to uncover itself fully under the tension imparted to the choli (ancient Indian version of the blouse), by the stretching of her arms.
Her lower garment is painted with 24 karat gold. The artist has also distributed gold specks in the background, thus imparting it a rich look.
This artwork was painted on hand-made paper, using stone-based colors. The artist is Shri Mohan Lal Soni, a maestro of the Mughal School, and the recipient of the National award from the President of India in 1983.
