The portrait in this miniature is reminiscent of Bani Thani of the Kishangarh School. The artist has modelled his nayika, taking inspiration from the skillfully idealized model in Kishangarh paintings. Gracefully poised, she wears a purple skirt, neatly gathered at the waist. In order to accentuate her perfect figure, the artist gives the choli a miss and instead coyly corners her in a diaphanous yellow odhini. She wears ornamentswhich are not as resplendent as her own beauty. She lifts her arms in an erotic manner, holding a couple of fully bloomed lotus flowers. The two lotus flowers symbolize togetherness and indicate her loneliness. Her eyes & eyebrows are shaped in an arched idealized manner. The rest of the features are perfect too.
The background in blue makes the nayika emerge from within the clouds.
