Embodiment of Divine Serenity and Power

This exquisite brass statue captures the essence of Bhagawan Shiva, the Supreme Being in Hinduism, embodying destruction and regeneration, meditation and dance, asceticism and cosmic playfulness. Crafted with meticulous detail in India, this handmade representation invites the divine presence into your home, serving as a focal point for devotion, contemplation, and aesthetic appreciation. The rich patina of the brass, combined with the subtle golden accents, lends an aura of timelessness and sacredness to the piece. The artist's skillful hands have brought forth a rendition of Shiva that resonates with profound peace. His serene countenance, with eyes closed in deep meditation, reflects the stillness of the Himalayas where he is often depicted. The crescent moon adorning his matted locks, a symbol of his control over the mind and the cyclical nature of time, is rendered with delicate precision. The sacred Ganga river, said to flow from his hair, is subtly suggested, symbolizing purity and divine grace. ––––––––––

Symbols of the Ascetic God

Every element of this statue tells a story, steeped in mythology and spiritual significance. The serpent coiled around his neck, Vasuki, represents the infinite energy of the universe and the power to overcome venomous desires and fears. The trishul (trident) held in his hand is a powerful symbol, representing the three primal qualities of existence – creation, preservation, and destruction – as well as the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva himself. The damaru (drum) signifies the primal sound of creation, Om, and the rhythm of the universe. The ash smeared on his body, a common depiction of ascetics, signifies detachment from worldly possessions and the transient nature of life. The leopard skin draped around his waist highlights his mastery over ego and his connection to the wild, untamed aspects of nature. The auspicious mark on his forehead, the tripundra, is a reminder of his divine power and control over the senses. ––––––––––

A Masterpiece of Indian Craftsmanship

Originating from India, a land rich with spiritual heritage and artistic traditions, this statue is a testament to the enduring skill of Indian artisans. Each piece is handcrafted, ensuring that no two statues are exactly alike, making yours a unique representation of divine artistry. The choice of brass as the medium is significant; brass is revered for its durability, its warm luster, and its association with deities and sacred objects in Indian culture. This statue is not merely an idol but a piece of art that carries the weight of centuries of devotion and craftsmanship. Its impressive stature and intricate detailing make it a commanding presence, whether placed in a puja room, a meditation space, or as a statement piece in your living area. This beautiful rendition of Bhagawan Shiva is an invitation to connect with the divine, to find solace in his tranquil form, and to be inspired by his cosmic power.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
