Parvati was devastated by the loss of her son. Shiva, realizing his mistake, promised to revive Ganesha. He instructed his followers to bring him the head of the first living being they encountered facing north. They returned with the head of an elephant, which Shiva used to restore Ganesha's life. Touched by Parvati's grief and Ganesha's unwavering devotion, Shiva declared Ganesha the leader of his celestial armies and bestowed upon him the boon that he would be worshipped before any other god at the beginning of any undertaking, ensuring success and removing obstacles.
