Karpoor aarti or the offering of the flame of camphor to the deities is considered a sacred offering. This traditional aarti diya has a wooden handle for the convenience of the devotee during this process. There are nine little camphor wicks in it. Lamps with varying wick counts represent various functions. The nine-wick lamps are used to perform aarti for the nine planets, or Navagrahas. This aarti lamp is constructed of high-quality brass and has a flower-like construction with wicks attached to leaves that grow from the lamp's stem. The lamps' mouths have little depressions that may be used to ignite cotton wicks as well.

The Radiant Symbol of Divine Light

Illuminate your sacred space and embrace the profound traditions of India with this exquisite brass Puja Diya. More than just a lamp, this multi-wicked masterpiece is a testament to artisanal skill and a vessel of spiritual significance. Crafted from lustrous brass, it embodies purity, auspiciousness, and a connection to the divine. The very act of lighting a diya is a ritual deeply embedded in Indian culture, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and life over death. The radiating star-like pattern from which the nine individual diyas emerge evokes the celestial bodies, mirroring the sun's life-giving energy or the divine presence that illuminates all existence. This form also suggests the Navagrahas, the nine celestial bodies that hold sway over our destinies in Vedic astrology, making this diya a powerful emblem for invoking their blessings and mitigating their influences. The intricate detailing on the brass itself speaks to the meticulous craftsmanship passed down through generations in India, where such objects are not merely decorative but are imbued with spiritual intent.

A Handheld Beacon of Auspiciousness

The thoughtfully incorporated wooden handle offers a unique and practical dimension to this beautiful diya. It allows for the lamp to be held and moved with grace during religious ceremonies, a practice often seen in Aarti, the ritualistic offering of light to deities. This handheld nature transforms the act of lighting the lamps into a more personal and dynamic engagement with the divine. Imagine performing your daily prayers or special rituals, holding this radiant beacon, its nine flames dancing, casting a warm, inviting glow that fills the environment with peace and devotion. This diya is perfectly suited for use in your home temple, during festivals like Diwali, the festival of lights, or any occasion where the invocation of positive energies is desired. The choice of brass is deliberate and significant. In Hinduism, brass is considered a sacred metal, believed to possess inherent purifying properties. It is also associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, making the use of brass in religious ceremonies a way to invite abundance and good fortune. This nine-wick diya, therefore, is not just a source of light, but a potent symbol of divine blessings, prosperity, and spiritual well-being, handcrafted with devotion in India.
