As the mystical abode of Devi Tripura Sundari, it is structured to represent the three planes of existence: ‘Bhu Loka’ or the physical plane, ‘Bhuvar Loka’ or the intermediate space, and ‘Swar Loka’ or Heaven. This Yantra comprises of nine interlocking triangles that attest to the spiritual powers of Shiva and Shakti, representing the cosmos and supreme consciousness. Moreover, each of the forty-three triangles formed represent attributes that define the Shri Vidya school of Hinduism, and the Vedas. The Yantra is also called a ‘Navayoni Chakra’ for it highlights nine concentric layers coming together at the epicentre, or the ‘bindu.’ Each layer here represents a particular aspect of the Tripura Sundari and chants her mantra, as described in the Devi Khadgamala Mantra.
