Standing on a fully blossomed and realistically carved lotus flower, this copper statue shows the lord of medicine, Sri Dhanvantari.

Lord Dhanvantari was born during the churning of the ocean, with a pot containing the amrita or elixir of life. In this murti, one can identify the pot of amrita in one of his hands. The other three hands hold shankha (the conch shell), medicinal herbs, and a treatise on Ayurveda, the ancient Indian medical science. Lord Dhanvantari is evoked for his healing abilities. According to a legend from the Vishnu Purana, Dhanvantari was born as a king in Varanasi, where he compiled his medical knowledge for the greater good. Lord Dhanvantari is the presiding deity of people practicing and learning Ayurveda and is worshipped on Dhanteras, two days before Deepawali, the Indian festival of lights.

Embodying Divine Healing and Wisdom

Invite the benevolent presence of Lord Dhanvantari into your home with this exquisite, handcrafted copper statue. Lord Dhanvantari, revered as the divine physician in Hindu mythology, is the personification of health, well-being, and the profound knowledge of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. This intricately detailed figurine captures his serene and powerful aura, making it a focal point for meditation, prayer, or as a beautiful decorative piece that radiates positivity and good health.

A Patron of Holistic Wellness

In the epic Samudra Manthan, the churning of the cosmic ocean, Lord Dhanvantari emerged holding the pot of Amrita, the elixir of immortality. This divine emergence signifies his role as the bestower of health and longevity. He is often depicted with four hands, each symbolizing a different aspect of his divine power. In this statue, we see him holding a medicinal leech, representing his mastery over healing ailments; a medicinal herb, signifying his vast knowledge of remedies; and a pot, often containing the nectar of life. His fourth hand is typically in a gesture of blessing, bestowing divine grace upon his devotees. This representation makes the statue a potent reminder of the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Artistry and Sacred Material

Crafted from pure copper, this statue is not merely an artistic representation but also carries the inherent auspiciousness of the metal. Copper has been historically valued in Vedic traditions for its purity and its reputed ability to promote healing and balance. The skilled artisans have meticulously carved each detail, from the divine adornments to the serene expression on Lord Dhanvantari's face, ensuring a piece that is both aesthetically pleasing and spiritually significant. The patina of the copper lends a timeless quality, suggesting the ancient wisdom and enduring power of the deity he represents. This small yet impactful statue is ideal for personal altars, meditation spaces, or as a thoughtful gift for loved ones seeking blessings of health and prosperity. Its compact size allows for easy placement in any corner of your home or office, serving as a constant source of inspiration and divine protection.
