As a Mahavidya, Devi Tripurasundari, also known as Rajarajeshvari, is the presiding deity over beauty and prosperity. And where prosperity is sought, Ganesha-Lakshmi have to make an appearance. The ensemble that you see on this page depicts the gorgeous Tripurasundari, flanked by a serene Lakshmi (to Her right) and a warrior Ganesha.

It is a pure brass composition featuring the deity’s own temple structure, complete with ornately latticeworked plinth, Ashvayali pillars, and Kirtimukham aureole. At the centre of it all is the handsomely-featured, full-figured maternal deity, weilding in Her anterior right hand a sprig of sugarcane. This is symbolic of both nourishment and sweetness.

This brilliant ensemble of murtis borrows heavily from traditional South Indian temple architecture and iconography.

Embodiment of Divine Radiance and Auspicious Beginnings

This magnificent brass statue captures the essence of Tripura Sundari, also known as Rajarajeshwari, the beautiful queen of the three worlds. Seated in a regal posture, she is the embodiment of supreme beauty, grace, and cosmic power. Her presence is a beacon of divine feminine energy, believed to bestow prosperity, well-being, and spiritual enlightenment upon her devotees. The intricate details of her divine form, from her serene facial expression to the ornate ornaments adorning her, speak of the meticulous craftsmanship that has gone into creating this masterpiece. She is depicted with multiple arms, each holding symbolic objects that represent her various powers and attributes, such as a trident, signifying her dominance over the three gunas, and other divine weapons.

A Sacred Ensemble of Protection and Prosperity

Flanking the central deity are two other significant figures, Ganesha and Lakshmi, further enhancing the spiritual and auspicious aura of this ensemble. Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of new beginnings, is positioned to the left, his presence ensuring that all endeavors undertaken with this idol are met with success and free from hindrances. Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity, stands to the right, her graceful form exuding an aura of abundance and material well-being. Together, these three deities form a powerful trinity, offering comprehensive blessings of spiritual growth, obstacle removal, and material prosperity. The entire arrangement is set within an elaborately designed arch, reminiscent of temple architecture, with decorative motifs and lion figures guarding the sacred space, adding to its grandeur and protective symbolism. The radiant golden sheen of the brass amplifies the divine aura, making it a truly captivating centerpiece for any sacred space or home. This statue serves not just as a decorative piece, but as a powerful conduit for invoking divine grace and blessings.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
