Behold a meticulously crafted representation of the divine family, a snapshot of serenity and power residing in the heart of the Himalayas. This superfine brass statue captures the essence of Lord Shiva, the destroyer of ignorance and transformer of worlds, alongside his consort Parvati, the embodiment of divine feminine energy, and their sons, Ganesha and Kartikeya. This beautiful work is made of brass with dimensions of 3.8 x 5.2 x 2.2 inches Lord Shiva, the ascetic god often depicted with matted hair, the crescent moon adorning his head, and a serene countenance, sits majestically, imparting wisdom and blessings. He is the Mahadeva, the greatest of gods, revered for his detachment, compassion, and the potent dance of destruction and creation he embodies. Notice the fine details in his adornments, meant to convey the cosmic forces he commands.

The Divine Family and Their Symbolic Significance

Seated beside Shiva is Parvati, also known as Uma, Shakti, and many other names, representing strength, love, and devotion. She is the force that balances Shiva's asceticism, a reminder that even the most powerful deity finds completion in union. Observe her gentle expression, radiating the warmth of a mother and the unwavering support of a wife. Their sons, Ganesha and Kartikeya, each represent unique facets of divinity. Ganesha, the elephant-headed god, is the remover of obstacles, worshipped at the beginning of new ventures and prayers. His presence ensures success and smooth progress. Kartikeya, also known as Skanda, is the god of war and courage, representing bravery and leadership. He is the commander-in-chief of the divine army, a symbol of strength and righteousness. The sculpture depicts the family together, each figure carefully detailed and distinct, yet harmoniously united. Shiva sits atop Nandi, the sacred bull and Shiva’s mount, a symbol of strength, virility, and unwavering devotion. The entire scene is a testament to the power of family, the importance of balance, and the enduring presence of the divine in our lives.
